Left My House & Went to Harborfest!

After being in my house for a few days I decided to needed to go outside. Messaged a few friends and we went to Harborfest! Harborfest is an annual festival held in Norfolk that features a ton of music, attractions, vendors and maritime based events. I’ve been a fan of this festival ever since I started attending ODU back in 2011. For some reason, every year I’m only able to make it out to one day of the event. My friends and I went this past Sunday and enjoyed the last few hours of the festival.

Plain White Ts performing!

From the musical standpoint, some of the  biggest acts brought to the festival were Plain White Ts and Delta Rae (interesting, yet family friendly choices). Local favorites including Dyska and Major and the Monbacks also performed throughout the three days! I will say I was excited when Plain White Ts came on. Memories from middle school and high school came rushing and I found myself singing along to more songs that I realized. I mean come on, who didn’t feel teenage angst while listening to “Hate (I Really Don’t Like You)” back in ’07?!

Of course they played “Hey There Delilah” and everyone suddenly started singing along. One of my friends had an “aha” moment when they realized Plain White Ts made that song.
