This week, the new releases have been more satisfactory as opposed to last week! I apologize for posting this so late, I’ve been traveling the past few days. Check out the new album & singles I’m listening to down below:
Albums:
- HOLYCHILD- The Shape Of Brat Pop To Come
- Expect an album review soon!
- Florence + The Machine- How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful
- Bleachers- Like A River Runs (EP)
- Jaime xx- In Colour
- Dom Kennedy- By Dom Kennedy
- Five Knives- Savages
- Check out this article about the making of the bands debut album!
Singles:
- “Pity Party”– Melanie Martinez
- Sampling the 1965 hit, “It’s My Party,” by Lesley Gore, Martinez makes this track her own and perfect for 2015.
- “Hold Me Down”– Halsey
- The first song released from the upcoming debut album, Badlands, that I’m looking forward to! I’ve been listening to her Room 93 EP a lot recently.
- “Powerful”– Major Lazer, Ellie Goulding, Tarrus Riley
- Loving the collaboration with the three artists!
- “Like A River Runs”– Bleachers
- A reworked version of the original from Bleachers debut album, Strange Desire, that gives the song a new perspective.
- “Reapers”– Muse
- Much more heavier sounding single that makes me excited for the album, Drones, to finally be released!
I create monthly playlists on Spotify featuring all the songs I’m loving/trying to love! All the singles and songs from the albums mentioned above are all in my playlist titled “June ’15.”
